For many years, the industry has been responding to rising consumer demand for products with natural ingredients. Manufacturers have adapted to this demand by either revising their current formulations or developing new products. In both cases, our WFSI experts provide tailored solutions featuring WFSI’s natural ingredient portfolio available for tasting at drinktec.
Natural flavors for an authentic taste
When it comes to flavoring innovative products, the demand is steered towards solutions that are as natural as possible, combined with authentic taste. In addition to WFSI’s classic natural flavors, FTNF (From The Named Fruit) flavors in particular, will satisfy customer expectations in these areas.
During drinktec, WFSI employees will be presenting a new natural orange flavor range from different varieties and grown in different parts of the world. Our customers can use this information in their on pack communication.
Combining Innovation with Freshness
WFSI’s FTNF flavors such as pineapple, banana and passion fruit will be presented at drinktec – providing authentic, exotic appeal. Blending fruit with refreshing mint gives consumers the innovative blends they expect: an invigorating and exciting flavor sensation that comes from natural ingredients.
The tea products created by WFSI also feature premium quality in line with current market trends. Whether the raw materials are organic or grown in conventional farming, WFSI has responded to these consumer demands by offering a wide-ranging portfolio of ingredients made of extracts, tea infusions or freshly brewed teas. In each case, manufacturers have the option of featuring the product characteristics on the label.
Standardized premium quality as a challenge
For over 30 years, WFSI has demonstrated its knowledge and expertise in natural ingredients, including colors. Thanks to a global integrated supply chain and major investments in state-of-the-art extraction and processing technologies, WFSI provides access to natural raw materials around the world, monitoring each and every production phase.
During Munich’s drinktec, WFSI’s experts will present their most recent developments in coloring foodstuffs and natural colors. Customers can turn to these products to position their beverages as they wish and to support color-based distinctions in their portfolio. The goal is to replicate the flavor profile through coloring options.
The product portfolio of Rainbow Range coloring foodstuffs has been expanded to include new products which have been tested for shelf-life. These products allow manufacturers to market beverages as clean and/or clear labels.
Ensuring safety and stability
Natural colors are often the best solution, especially for products with long shelf lives or complex formulations. WFSI employees consistently analyze the main criteria through tests made in specific storage conditions in order to provide the highest standards of safety, shelf life and consistent quality. Drinktec visitors can use the interactive color finder to select exactly the right shade for their beverage, whether clear or unfiltered.
